Korazin, home to the traditional craft houses known as "Bayt Melaha," was originally designed to host various trades and manual crafts as part of Israel's urban planning. In response to the prevalent trend of demolishing and rebuilding, the proposed intervention focuses on remodeling Korazin to improve its functionality while preserving the social ties it fosters within the neighborhood. By retaining the existing robust concrete structure, the intervention significantly minimizes the carbon footprint that would have resulted from demolition and reconstruction.
